How to...start a free Gmail account

  1. Click on Firefox.
  2. On the Google line, type New Gmail Account
  3. On Get started with Gmail:
  4. Type first name
  5. Type last name
  6. Type desired login name ___@gmail.com
  7. Click on check availability--if your desired name is not available, try another one. If it is available,
  8. Choose a password of at least 8 characters--good to throw in a $ or #.
  9. Re-enter the password.
  10. Choose a security question from the list.
  11. Type the answer.
  12. Location is US
  13. Word verification--type the letters you see
  14. If you are satisfied with your information, click on I accept. Create my account.
  15. To use your account, go to Firefox, see the Web line, click on Gmail, type in your login name and password.
